19th Annual “Leap Into Leadership” Conference Opens Registration for Wyoming Women
CHEYENNE, WY – The Wyoming Women’s Legislative Caucus (WyWLC) is proud to announce that registration is now open for the 19th Annual Leap Into Leadership Conference, held February 25–26, 2026, in Cheyenne. This premier event is dedicated to empowering women to take their seats at the table in community and government leadership.
Honoring Our Past, Shaping Our Future
The conference kicks off Wednesday afternoon in a venue steeped in history: the Historic Supreme Court in the Wyoming State Capitol.
“It was in this Chamber in 1889 that representatives enshrined women’s suffrage within our state constitution,” says Representative Elissa Campbell. “Because of the events that transpired here, Wyoming became the first state to guarantee these rights, making this one of the most historically significant chambers in the nation.”
A Dynamic Lineup of Speakers
The 2026 program is designed to provide actionable “keys and tips” for navigating leadership paths. Highlights include:
-
State Auditor Kristi Racines: Providing insights into statewide executive leadership.
-
Katie Groke: Former National Program Manager for the White House Project, Groke will lead a session on Campaigning and Storytelling 101, drawing on her extensive experience training women to run for office.
-
Nina McConigley: The Legislative Reception and Dinner will feature the PEN Open Book Award-winning author and Wyoming native. McConigley will share compelling insights on the diverse contributions of women to the Equality State.
Interactive Workshops and Legislative Access
The second day of the conference (February 26) bridges the gap between citizens and policymakers:
-
Coffee with Legislators: An informal morning session to connect directly with state representatives.
-
Expert Panels: Workshops will cover Bridging Tribal Governance, Local Government Impact, and Navigating State Policy.
-
Live Observation: The event concludes with a guided Capitol tour and the opportunity to observe the Wyoming House and Senate in active session.
“Each year, we build a stronger event to support our mission of fostering female leadership,” says former Legislator and WyWLC Board Member and Leap into Leadership Conference creator, Rosie Berger. “We want to ensure Wyoming women remain an integral part of the leadership conversation for years to come.”
